Danny Glover, world-renowned actor, producer, activist
and humanitarian, serves as the Political Rap spokesperson, and
he’s calling on America’s youth to get involved.
Political Rap youth forums are bipartisan and designed to involve
college students and high school seniors (with a focus on minorities)
in the political process. We explore hot topics with a comedian
host and a panel of four guests. The panel consists of young (between
the ages of 18-34) actors, musicians, politicians, athletes, activists,
comedians and a political science student. The fifth Beatle, so
to speak, is our mentor guest (anyone 35 years of age and older).
This allows Mr. Glover to participate as well as other celebrity
and political mentors.
Rock The Vote will join us with their team of voter registration
volunteers at the beginning of each forum.
Political Rap must continue its journey to encourage young adults
to be informed participants in the political process. We feel
it is very important that they not only be involved in each presidential
election, but also with their city and state elections as well.
Today's youth needs to be aware of the impact they can have within
the political system and to show politicians that their generation
is a force to be reckoned with.
